About Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd.

The company behind the Kira Maths platform and the entity you are contracting with.

Kira Maths is an online adaptive mathematics learning platform operated by Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd. (Company Registration No. 202601024023 / 1686120-T), a private limited company incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 2016.

In these Terms, "Kira", "Kira Maths", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd. "You" or "User" refers to any person who accesses or uses the platform, including parents and guardians acting on behalf of child users.

Acceptance of These Terms

Using the platform means you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By accessing or using the Kira Maths platform at mykira.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms or policies referenced herein. These documents together form the complete agreement between you and Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd.

If you are a parent or guardian registering on behalf of a child, you are accepting these Terms on that child's behalf and confirm that you have the authority to do so.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the platform.

Eligibility and Account Registration

Who can use Kira Maths and what is required when creating an account.

Age and Parental Responsibility

Kira Maths is designed for primary school students aged 7 to 12. All users are welcome to register, however the following applies:

• Children under 13 must be registered and supervised by a parent or legal guardian. By completing registration on behalf of a child, the parent or guardian accepts these Terms and our Privacy Policy on the child's behalf and takes responsibility for the child's use of the platform.
• Users aged 13 and over may register their own account.
• Adults (parents, teachers) may register accounts to access available progress monitoring features.

Google Sign-In

Google Sign-In is available as an account registration option for all users. Where a parent or guardian registers a child's account using Google Sign-In, they are doing so as the responsible adult on that account.

Registration Requirements

When creating an account, you must:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information;
• Choose a display name appropriate for a primary school environment — names that are offensive, impersonating, or misleading are not permitted;
• Not create more than one account per person.

We reserve the right to reject registrations or remove accounts that do not comply with these requirements.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others;
• Notify us immediately at support@mykira.co if you suspect unauthorised access to your account;
• Ensure that any child using the platform under your registered account does so in accordance with these Terms.

We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to protect your account credentials. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the platform.

Access to the Platform

Kira Maths is currently free during our launch period. Paid features may be introduced in the future.

Free During Launch Period

Kira Maths is currently available free of charge during our launch period. All registered users have access to the full set of platform features available at the time of their registration, subject to the energy system described in Section 6.

Future Paid Features

We may in the future introduce paid subscription tiers that unlock additional features, expanded access limits, or an advertisement-free experience. We may also restrict certain features — currently available for free — to paid tiers at any time. If we make such changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the platform and by email to registered users before any previously free features become paid-only.

Nothing in these Terms obligates us to maintain the current level of free access indefinitely. Your continued use of the platform following any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new access structure.

Service Availability

We aim to keep Kira Maths available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to minimise disruptions and notify users of planned maintenance where possible.

The Energy System

How daily energy works and how Mission Mode stays always accessible.

Kira Maths uses a daily energy system to structure gameplay. Each game session consumes a portion of your daily energy. Energy replenishes automatically each day.

Mission Mode — a targeted daily practice feature that identifies and addresses a student's specific curriculum gaps — is always accessible and is never subject to the energy limit, regardless of your account type. Mission Mode questions are always free.

Users who have used all of their available energy may restore energy by watching an optional short advertisement (see Section 7), or by waiting for their daily replenishment. Waiting is always an option; watching an advertisement is never required to continue learning through Mission Mode.

Advertisements

Advertising helps cover the costs of the platform and keeps it free to use.

Kira Maths may display advertisements within the platform. Advertising helps cover the costs of running and maintaining the platform, and is part of what makes it possible for us to offer Kira Maths free of charge.

Our Approach

We are committed to keeping advertising non-invasive. Advertisements are designed to appear without disrupting the learning experience. Some advertisements are optional and rewarded — a user may choose to watch a short video advertisement to receive additional in-game energy. These are always the user's choice and are never a condition of accessing core learning features, including Mission Mode.

Third-Party Advertising

Advertisements are served through Google AdSense. We do not control the specific content of individual advertisements served by Google, though we operate within Google's publisher content policies. If you encounter an advertisement that you believe is inappropriate for the platform's audience, please report it to feedback@mykira.co.

Future Ad-Free Option

We may in the future offer a paid tier that removes all advertising from the platform.

In-Game Currency and Virtual Items

How in-game coins and avatar items work, and what rights you have over them.

Kira Maths includes an in-game coin currency and a virtual shop where coins can be used to unlock cosmetic items for your in-game profile, including avatar accessories and decorative elements.

• Coins have no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for real money, transferred between accounts, or used outside the platform;
• Virtual items acquired through coins are licenced for use within the platform only, not owned — they are digital content associated with your account;
• We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or retire virtual items at any time, with reasonable notice where possible;
• Coins and virtual items are non-transferable and will not be restored if an account is suspended or terminated due to a breach of these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Kira Maths only for its intended purpose as an educational learning tool.

Account Conduct

• Choosing a display name that is offensive, sexually suggestive, discriminatory, or impersonates another person or brand is not permitted;
• Sharing your account credentials or allowing unauthorised access to your account;
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent access limits or gain unfair leaderboard advantages;
• Attempting to manipulate leaderboard positions, scores, or learning progress data through any means other than genuine use of the platform.

Technical Conduct

• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the platform or its learning engine;
• Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform other than through a standard web browser;
• Attempting to probe, scan, or test the security of the platform or its infrastructure;
• Introducing any malicious code, virus, or harmful component to the platform;
• Attempting to access any account, data, or system that is not your own.

Content and Legal Conduct

• Using the platform in any way that violates applicable Malaysian law or the legal rights of others;
• Uploading or transmitting content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate for a primary school environment.

Breach of these acceptable use provisions is grounds for immediate suspension or termination of your account under Section 14.

Intellectual Property

All content and features on the platform belong to Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd.

All content, features, and functionality on Kira Maths — including but not limited to the platform's name and branding, its mascot character and associated artwork, the adaptive learning engine and its algorithms, all question content and curriculum materials, game mechanics and design, the visual interface, graphics, logos, and any audio elements — are the exclusive intellectual property of Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable Malaysian and international intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the platform solely for personal, non-commercial educational purposes in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not include any right to:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute any platform content;
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on any platform content;
• Use any platform content for commercial purposes;
• Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice from the platform.

Unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in account termination and may give rise to civil or criminal liability under Malaysian law.

Third-Party Links and Services

We integrate with third-party services but are not responsible for their content or practices.

The platform integrates with third-party services including Google Sign-In and Google AdSense. Use of these services is subject to Google's own terms of service and privacy policies, which are independent of these Terms and over which we have no control.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or data practices of any third-party service. The presence of any third-party integration does not constitute our endorsement of that third party.

Disclaimers

Important limitations on what we are able to guarantee about the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law:

• The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement;
• We do not warrant that the platform will operate without interruption, error, or defect;
• We do not warrant or guarantee specific educational outcomes. Kira Maths is a supplementary learning tool and does not guarantee improvements in academic performance, school grades, or examination results;
• We are not liable for learning data lost due to technical failure, provided we have taken reasonable steps to maintain platform stability.

Limitation of Liability

The extent to which Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd. can be held liable for losses arising from use of the platform.

During the Free Access Period

To the maximum extent permitted by law, during any period in which access to Kira Maths is provided free of charge, Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd. shall have no liability to users for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the platform — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of learning progress, or any interruption of access.

If Paid Access Is Introduced

If and when paid subscription tiers are introduced, our total aggregate liability to a paying subscriber for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by that subscriber in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Exceptions

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• Any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited under Malaysian law.

Suspension and Termination

How and when accounts may be closed — by you or by us.

Termination by You

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@mykira.co. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Suspension or Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have:

• Breached any provision of these Terms;
• Provided false or materially misleading information during registration;
• Engaged in conduct harmful to other users, the platform, or Kira Ed Sdn. Bhd.;
• Engaged in any unlawful activity in connection with the platform.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account:

• Your licence to access and use the platform ends immediately;
• Access to your account, learning history, and any accumulated in-game currency or virtual items is forfeited;
• Where paid access has been introduced, no refund will be provided for unused subscription periods, except where required by Malaysian law.

Sections 9, 10, 12, 13, and 16 of these Terms survive termination of your account and remain in full force.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in advance.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the platform, our business operations, or applicable law. When we make material changes we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document;
• Post a notice within the platform; and/or
• Send an email notification to registered users where the changes materially affect their rights or access.

Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform and may delete your account.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Malaysian law. Disputes will be resolved in Malaysian courts.

These Terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

Informal Resolution

Before commencing any formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@mykira.co to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will endeavour to acknowledge your notice within 5 business days and to work towards resolution in good faith.
